Arusha to Marangu gate – Mandara Hut
Altitude gain: 6,046 ft to 8,858 ft; hiking time: 4-5 hours, 5 miles
After registering at the Kilimanjaro National Park gate, you’ll take your first step toward your goal – the roof of Africa. You’ll be hiking through the Montane Forest, a lush, biodiverse zone and home to the endemic flower Impatiens Kilimanjaro. Watch for blue and colobus monkeys and listen to the birdsong; the avifauna here is prolific. You may even glimpse Hartlaub’s Turaco, a stunning, brightly colored resident. After reaching Mandara Hut, you could walk to the Maundi crater or relax and enjoy the scenery.

TREK DAY 3
Mandara Hut to Horombo Hut
8,858 ft to 12,205 ft: Hiking time: 5-6 hours, 7 miles
Today, your hike will take you out of the forest into the heathland, where giant heathers grow, and, as you climb higher, into the moorland. Here, you’ll see two of the most unusual plants on Kilimanjaro: the fairy-tale-like giant groundsel and the giant lobelias. You’ll also have your first views of the peaks, Mawenzi and Kibo, which you’ll be scaling in a few days.

TREK DAY 4
Horombo Hut to Kibo Hut
12,205 ft to 15,430 ft: Hiking time: 6-8 hours, 6 miles
Today, you’ll trek into the barren high-altitude desert, crossing the boulder-strewn saddle connecting Kibo and Mawenzi. You may be lucky to see a buzzard or lammergeyer soaring on the above thermals. After reaching the camp, the rest of the day is devoted to preparing for your summit bid – preparing your kit, eating, and resting.

TREK DAY 5
Kibo Hut to Uhuru Peak Summit to Horombo Hutp
15,430 ft to 19,341 ft to12,205 ft, 4 miles ascent, 10 miles descent, 6-8 hours ascent, 4-6 hours descent
The push for the final ascent to Uhuru Peak! You will be woken at around 11:30 pm to make a start just after midnight. This is where your grit and determination will be called upon, but your reward is possibly the most fantastic sunrise you’ll ever see on the horizon behind Mawenzi.
You’ll probably be around Gilman’s Point (5685m) now, so it’s time for a much-needed breather before walking around the top of the crater rim, passing Stella Point, and finally reaching Uhuru. Take some time to enjoy the views of the crater and glaciers, then retrace your steps back to Kibo for breakfast and rest. You’ll then descend to Horombo hut, which will feel oxygen-rich after the summit and a long night’s sleep.

TREK DAY 6
Horombo Hut to Marangu Gate
12,205 ft to 6,046 ft: Hiking time: 5-7 hours, 12 miles
Our last day on the mountain will start after breakfast. Thank your crew; it’s time to head back down to the forest, stop for lunch at Mandara Hut, and then go on to Marangu gate. Your guide will arrange your certificates, and our driver will meet you to transfer you to your hotel for a long hot shower and a celebration.

SAFARI ITINERARY AND ZANZIBAR BEACH
Day 7: Arusha – Fly to Serengeti
After Breakfast, we will transfer you to Arusha Airport for your flight to Serengeti National Park. Arrive at Serengeti; you will be picked up with your driver guide and continue with a game drive the Serengeti National Park, which is famous for its predators and being home to the Great Migration, and two million wildebeests, hundreds of thousands of zebras, and all kinds of antelopes, including the abundant impalas and Thomson’s gazelles. As for Big Cats and large predators, it’s the place of choice to see lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. Many television films, such as the famous river crossings, have been filmed in this park. Smaller animals like foxes, mongooses, honey badgers, jackals, monkeys, baboons, rock hyrax, African hares, and more than 500 species of birds also inhabit this park. The park has 6,900 sq. km (18000 sq. km); for most of it, the plains will stretch to the horizon, defying your senses and perception of distance. The central part of the park, known as the Seronera Circuit, is very rich in wildlife habitat, with the Seronera River providing water for the animals and birds. You will spot thousands upon thousands of animals in herds: wildebeests and zebras migrating together, tall and graceful giraffes, jumping antelopes and gazelles, the mighty African elephant, and the most respected group of predators. You may have the chance to spot lean cheetahs, shy leopards, foraging hyenas, and last but not least, the king himself and the lion. When you arrive at the park, check in at your booked lodge to refresh, and then spend the evening at your leisure until it is time to have dinner and overnight.

Day 8&9: Full Day Serengeti National Park
wake up early in the morning with all your luggage, have a cup of coffee to warm up your body, get a box of your packed full breakfast and picnic lunch, check out of your camp, and then enjoy a full day exploring the endless plains of Serengeti. During your game drive, your guide will help you spot as many animals as possible and give information about everything you will encounter through the game drive. After the game drive, you will return to your camp for Dinner and Overnight.

Day 10: Serengeti National Park –Transfer to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar
After a massive, thrilling day of wildlife viewing, also today, wake up in the morning to have breakfast; check the having game route to Seronera Airstrip for your flight to Zanzibar beach, which features beautiful beaches with crystal white sands and is surrounded by vivid underwater world. The island is separated from the mainland of Tanzania by the Zanzibar Channel and is famously known for Stone Town, a historical city. On your arrival at Zanzibar Island, you will be warmly welcomed by our company representative, who will meet and greet you. Then, you will be transferred to your booked hotel in Stone Town. Check-in, refresh, and then stay at your leisure until it is time to have dinner and overnight.

Day 11: Zanzibar Beach – Have a free day

Day 12: Zanzibar Beach – Half-day visit to the Stone Town – Spend the day at leisure
Wake up at your best time to be served breakfast, and then start your day with a visit to Stone Town, the old part of Zanzibar City, the main city of Zanzibar. It is located on the western coast of Unguja, the main island of the Zanzibar Archipelago. It was the former capital of the Zanzibar Sultanate and the flourishing center of the spice trade and the slave trade in the 19th century. When the United Republic of Tanzania was formed, Zanzibar maintained a semi-autonomous status, with Stone Town as the seat of local government. Stone Town is a prominent historical and artistic city in East Africa. Its architecture, mostly dating back to the 19th century, reflects the diverse influences underlying the Swahili culture, giving a unique mixture of Arab, Persian, Indian, and European elements. For this reason, the town was designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2000. After enjoying the Stone Town, have lunch, and later drive back to your hotel to refresh. Then, spend the evening at your leisure until it is time to have dinner and overnight.

Day 13: Zanzibar beach – SPICE TOUR “The Magic Spices” – Visit the Prison Island – Spend the evening at your leisure
After breakfast, go for the SPICE TOUR, “The Magic Spices,” a half-day surrounded by the fragrances of this beautiful island: Zanzibar, which was known in the past as “The Island of Spices.” A visit to a spice plantation, accompanied by qualified staff, will make you understand the origins and savor the aromas: nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon, vanilla, cloves, cardamom, black pepper, coffee, lemongrass, and many more. The acknowledge Team will explain all the remedies, characteristics, and curiosities related to these intense and exotic aromas, and you will be free to buy some of these natural species. After this amazing tour, have lunch, and then drive to Kizimkazi to get on the boat to visit the prison island. The Island lies about 30 minutes from Stone Town by Boat. The Island was a quarantine site and a prison in the past. Currently, it’s home to Giant tortoises imported from Seychelles. You will walk through the forested island after getting off the boat. You will have a chance to feed the tortoises. After the Prison Island tour, please return to the mainland and then return to your hotel to refresh and then spend the rest of your time at leisure until it is time to be served dinner and overnight.

Day 14: Zanzibar Beach – Have free morning time – Return to the airport
Wake up at your best time and head to the beach for a well-organized picnic breakfast. After breakfast, stay at your leisure and then drive back to the Abeid Amani Karume International Airport to prepare for your return flight. This will end your 13-day best-of-Tanzania wildlife safari and Zanzibar beach tour.
