Luigi, Sandra, Kevin.Posted on Dot HVerified Dream trip It has been one of our long time dreams to visit the jungle and savannah of Africa, and Yala Safaris has made our trip a memorable experience of a life time. Ephraim is very professional and has answered all of our questions before arrival, he also came to check on us at the beginning and end of the trip to make sure everything goes well. Alex is an exceptional tour guide, he has accompanied us all the way. He is an excellent driver, we felt very safe riding with him even in amidst of chaotic and rough roads. Alex is responsible and knowledgeable in the field, he made sure we leave with no regrets. Uganda has one of the most beautiful scenery and most friendly people in the world. Everyone we've met along the way has made this trip exceed our expectations. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone considering a visit. Dot/ USA/ May 2024Posted on Giorgia AVerified Yala Safaris Uganda - The perfect company to visit Uganda We took a 4-day tour with Yala Safaris to visit the mountain gorillas. Everything was perfect: Amon, our driver, was kind and very caring, we laughed a lot and spent time together as friends. Ephraim helped us organize the trip already from Italy, answered my countless questions always with great accuracy and timing. We wanted to get into a specific area of Bwindi, and Ephraim helped us with that request as well. Yala Safaris is very punctual and precise company. Absolutely recommended.Posted on Elena MVerified Unique adventure Organizing an adventure in Uganda with Yala Safari was very simple. The staff has always been available and ready for every request, change or specification. Relying on them was the key to a safe holiday and to discover the wonders of Uganda. We shared the week with our fantastic guide "Gilby" who made our holiday a total immersion in their life, allowing us to savor the true essence. Thank you all for the special role you played in organizing this unusual journey towards a destination that is still little traveled but truly splendid and, at times, indescribable. Trekking with gorillas is unmissable, although not for everyone. Thank you!Posted on Praveen MVerified Perfect Holiday tour partners Thank you yala safaris, we had a good time and the stay at Sambiya Lodge was exceptional. Mr. Reuben our guide was also good and friendly. We continue to hold the friendship and support each other. Yala Safaris have been the right partners for our program. ThanksPosted on ccontaVerified Uganda - the pearl of Africa Ephraim was excellent in managing the booking and pre departure element of the 8 day Ugandan safari package, which included full board at mid range hotels, private transportation and entry to all of the National parks plus the arrangement of all the necessary permits for chimp and gorilla trekking. He also was available at the start and during the journey via what’s app. The guide/driver Moses was excellent and gave daily reminders of timings and activities. His vehicle was in good condition and he stopped on long journeys for any necessary essentials. At the parks he was an excellent spotter of wildlife and knowing I liked primates lingered at those sites so I could take pictures. The mid range hotels included exceeded expectations and each had great character and points. I will review them separately. I note that Yala also do trips in Rwanda, Kenya and Tanzania. I would not hesitate to recommend their services.Posted on WhereisSHEEBAVerified Unforgettable trip thanks to Yala Safari Uganda Yala Safari in Uganda is a very serious and skilled tour operator. We did the 8 days classic tour in Uganda and it was one of our best trip. Eiphrem and our guide Alex did their best to make our trip unforgettable. They were always available for us. The lodges and the activities offered were high quality. We recommend highly Yala Safari Uganda if you want to travel in Uganda for the best price and prestations of high quality. Thank you Eiphrem. Thank you Alex. We don't forget you.Posted on Matthew BVerified Incredible safari (and more) experience Thank you Yala for ensuring that our once-in-a-lifetime safari lived up to every expectation! The whole trip was very well coordinated and Yala's operations director, Ephraim, checked in occasionally to make sure everything was running smoothly. Our driver/guide, Charles, was FANTASTIC. Knowledgeable, funny, friendly, and an incredible driver on Uganda's challenging roads. I hope we stay in touch, because there's always room for one more genuinely good person in our lives. The safari experience was spectacular. We spent four nights in Murchison Falls Park and did three game drives. This allowed us to take our time without the pressure of trying to see all the animals in a single trip. I sincerely believe that this made all the difference, as we not only saw all the animals we hoped to see, but also got to learn about them, observe their activities, and take endless pictures. One word of advice: if you bring US dollars for tip/gift money, bring crisp new bills if possible. Ugandan banks are apparently very picky about accepting US bills, so that slightly worn $10 bill you gave someone may be worthless. Also, this was our first trip to an area with extreme poverty. I wish we had come prepared with small gifts that we could have given to the beautiful children we encountered. Some other travelers we spoke to brought toys, rubber balls, pencils, notepads - even shoes and Crocs. When you see these kids, you'll wish you had done the same.Posted on Bartolomeo MVerified Wonderful experience E stata un esperienza fantastica, lo consiglio a tutti quelli che viaggiano in Uganda. Dry seasons are the best time for visiting Uganda—December to February or June to August. If you’re planning a trip to Uganda, these months are perfect for trekking to see mountain gorillas and chimpanzees. Plus, it’s suitable for spotting wildlife in the national parks. February and March also offer good chances to see animals in action. So, if you want the best views and adventure, mark these months on your calendar.
Tanzania and Kenya may be the big shots in safaris, but they come with a hefty price tag. Safaris aren’t just about watching animals; they’re about balancing your budget too. And guess who’s the real winner here? It’s Uganda. Imagine trekking through the jungle, catching sight of gorillas up close. You spot a lion relaxing in the wild, hike up a volcano, and even climb a glacier! The wildlife is everywhere, and the culture is as rich as it gets. All this with an almost intact wallet. And the best part? The photos you snap will be the kind you show off forever! Uganda gives you the full safari adventure, minus the heavy price.
You need a visa to travel to Uganda. Luckily, Uganda issues eVisa for the citizens of the US and many other countries. They also issue normal visas for all. So you can get in an embassy line or finish the process online. An eVisa might take as fast as 3 days if registered properly. I recommend you apply via Uganda’s online visa service. Moreover, several Asian, African, and American small nations need no visa at all. Visas are also available at the point of entry on arrival in Uganda. For an on-arrival visa, check with your local Embassy or Consulate of Uganda for further details. Besides, you need all the particulars of an on-arrival visa.
Yes, Uganda is generally safe for solo female travelers. The locals are warm and welcoming, making it easy for women to explore the country without hassle. But, like anywhere else, it’s always smart to take some basic precautions—avoid walking alone at night and in lonely spots. In places like Kampala, you’ll notice more police around. It adds to the feeling of safety. While crime has gone down thanks to better policing, it’s still a good idea to be watchful for petty theft or tourist scams. Overall, you’ll have an amazing and worry-free adventure in Uganda.
Ugandan food isn’t typically spicy, but it’s full of flavor! The cuisine mixes influences from Arab, British, and especially Indian cooking. You’ll find dishes seasoned with tomatoes, onions, and sometimes a few spices, but nothing too fiery. Ugandans love to cook with heart, and every meal feels warm and comforting. Most meals include a hearty starch like rice or plantains paired with a tasty “sauce.” So, while the food may not be super spicy, it’s definitely delicious and packed with love
Tourists love Uganda for its natural beauty and unique wildlife. It is home to the source of the Nile River, wild chimpanzees, lions, and the world’s last remaining mountain gorillas. Also, consider stunning scenery, wildlife reserves, and year-round tropical weather—a nature lover’s paradise. But that’s not all. Visitors also enjoy vibrant Ugandan culture, with over 50 different tribes, delicious local food, and some of the friendliest people you’ll ever meet. Whether you’re rafting on the Nile, trekking through jungles, or soaking in the nightlife, this heaven offers something unforgettable for everyone.
