Refund Policy for Yala Safaris Uganda
At Yala Safaris Uganda, we aim to provide a memorable experience. However, we understand that plans can change. Below is our refund policy, outlining how refunds are handled for cancellations, changes, and other relevant circumstances.
1. Eligibility for Refunds
Refunds are processed based on the following conditions:
- Cancellations made more than 60 days prior to the safari start date: 70% of the total amount will be refunded.
- Cancellations made between 30 and 59 days prior to the safari start date: 50% of the total amount will be refunded.
- Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to the safari start date: No refunds will be issued.
2. Non-Refundable Items
The following fees and costs are non-refundable:
- Bank or transaction fees
- Costs associated with third-party bookings (accommodation, flights, etc.)
- Insurance or additional services unrelated to the safari package
3. Refund Process
- All refunds will be processed through the same method used for payment.
- It may take up to 14 business days for the refund to appear in your account, depending on your payment provider.
- Refunds will be made in the original currency, and Yala Safaris Uganda is not responsible for any currency fluctuations or additional charges applied by banks.
4. Force Majeure & Extenuating Circumstances
- In the case of events such as natural disasters, government restrictions, or pandemics, Yala Safaris Uganda may offer alternative travel dates or a travel voucher. Refund requests in these cases will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis, and partial refunds may be considered based on specific circumstances.
5. Date Changes
- Requests to change safari dates must be made at least 30 days before the start of the safari. Date changes are subject to availability and may be made without penalty if communicated in time.
- Changes requested within 30 days of the safari may incur additional costs.
6. No-Show Policy
No refunds will be issued for clients who fail to attend the safari without prior notice (no-show). If you experience travel delays or unavoidable circumstances, please contact us immediately for assistance, although additional costs may apply.
7. Early Termination
If you choose to leave the safari early, no refund will be provided for the unused portion of the trip. Additional travel or accommodation costs for early departure will be at your expense.
8. Refunds for Third-Party Services
Yala Safaris Uganda partners with third-party providers such as hotels and airlines. Any refunds related to third-party services will depend on their individual policies. We will assist in facilitating refunds but cannot be held liable for third-party services.
