Our Journey
Godwin Mweteise began this journey as a tour guide employed by then-established tour companies in 2008, where he gained invaluable expertise in organizing exceptional tours. In 2016, he launched Yala Safaris, focusing initially on game viewing and gorilla trekking in Uganda’s breathtaking national parks. Today, we’ve expanded our horizons to include captivating destinations in Kenya, Tanzania, and Rwanda.

Born in Mbarara and raised in Kampala, Godwin has dedicated his career to showcasing the wonders of East Africa. Getting Around Uganda

- Boda Bodas: These motorcycle taxis are a ubiquitous and affordable way to zip around cities like Kampala and Jinja. However, prioritize safety by choosing reputable providers like SafeBoda or Uber Connect, which offer standardized pricing and reliable drivers equipped with helmets.
- Minibuses: Consider the vibrant and economical matatus (minibuses) for inter-regional travel. While they provide a cultural experience, be prepared for crowded conditions and flexible departure schedules.
