The 4-day safari in North & Ishasha sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park is an incredible adventure that offers visitors the opportunity to explore the pristine wilderness of Uganda. The safari includes game drives through the park’s northern sector, which is home to a variety of wildlife such as lions, elephants, leopards, and buffalos. Visitors will also get to explore the Ishasha sector, which is famous for its tree-climbing lions and stunning scenery. Other highlight of the safari include boat cruises along the Kazinga Channel, where you can spot wildlife like hippos, crocodiles, elephants and various bird species.

Short itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to North of Queen Elizabeth for game drives. Stay at North of Queen Elizabeth.(L,D)
Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise at North of Queen Elizabeth. Stay at North of Queen Elizabeth.(B,L,D)
Day 3: Morning game drive in North and transfer to Ishasha sector for evening game drive. Stay at Ishasha sector (B,L,D)
Day 4: Game drive at Ishasha sector and transfer to Kampala.(B,L)

Day 1: Kampala to Queen Elizabeth is around 7 hours (380+ Km)
Day 4: Queen Elizabteh to Kampala is around 7 hours (380+ Km)

Note:

  1. To avoid the long drive on Day 1, we can arrange flight from Entebbe to Kasese airstrip at USD 230 per person.
    On top of the above price, an additional cost of USD 40 (not per person) would be charged for sending our guide & vehicle a day in advance (Day 0) so as to pick you up on Day 1 on arrival at the airstrip.

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to North of Queen Elizabeth for game drives
You will start your day by being picked up from your accommodation in Kampala and begin the journey towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. During the drive, you will get to see some of the most scenic landscapes in Uganda.
Upon arrival, you will have lunch before heading out for your first game drive of the trip. The game drive will take you through the park, where you will have the opportunity to see various wildlife species such as lions, elephants, buffalos, leopards, hyenas, antelopes, warthogs, and more. After the game drive, you will return to your accommodation at Queen Elizabeth for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2: Game drive and Boat cruise at North of Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast, you will go on a morning game drive, during which you will explore a different part of the park and encounter new wildlife. After the game drive, you will return to your accommodation for lunch.
In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise along the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake George and Lake Edward. During the cruise, you will see various animals, including hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous bird species. The boat cruise will last about 2 hours, after which you will return to your accommodation for dinner and a good night's rest.

Day 3: Morning game drive in North and transfer to Ishasha sector for evening game drive
After breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive in the North of Queen Elizabeth National Park, exploring different areas of the park to maximize your chances of wildlife sightings. Later, transfer to the Ishasha sector, which is known for its tree-climbing lions. Upon arrival, settle into your accommodation and relax for a while.
In the evening, embark on an exciting game drive in the Ishasha sector, where you may have the unique opportunity to spot tree-climbing lions lounging on the branches of fig trees, and other wildlife species. Keep your cameras ready for some incredible photo opportunities. After the game drive, return to your accommodation in the Ishasha sector for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Game drive at Ishasha sector and transfer to Kampala
Wake up early for a final game drive in the Ishasha sector, as the animals are most active during the early hours of the day. Search for more wildlife, including elephants, buffaloes, and various antelope species, as well as the famous tree-climbing lions. After the game drive, return to your accommodation for breakfast and check out. Bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and transfer back to Kampala, where your adventure comes to an end.
