Embark on an unforgettable adventure with a 4-day trip to Uganda’s most captivating destinations. The trip begins with gorilla tracking in the dense rainforest of Bwindi, where you will have the rare opportunity to get up close with these majestic primates. From there, we will head to the Ishasha sector & North of Queen Elizabeth known for its diverse wildlife, including tree-climbing lions, elephants, buffalos and more.

Short itinerary:

Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Bwindi National Park. Stay at Bwindi National Park (L,D)
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park and transfer to Ishasha sector. Stay at Ishasha sector (B,L,D)
Day 3: Morning game drive at Ishasha sector and afternoon game drive at North of Queen Elizabeth. Stay at North of Queen Elizabeth (B,L,D)
Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala. (B,L)

*Meals included: B-Breakfast, L-Lunch, D-Dinner

Transfer Time:

Day 1: Kampala to Bwindi is around 8 to 10 hours (470+ Km)
Day 2: Bwindi to Ishasha Sector is around 2 to 3 hours (70+ Km)
Day 4: Queen Elizabeth to Kampala is around 7 hours (380+ Km)

Note:

  1. To avoid the long drive to Bwindi on Day 1, we can arrange flight from Entebbe to Kihihi airstrip in Bwindi at USD 230 per person.
    On top of the above price, an additional cost of USD 40 (not per person) would be charged for sending our guide & vehicle a day in advance (Day 0) so as to pick you up on Day 1 on arrival at the airstrip.
  2. Another option is to start from Kigali, Rwanda. The drive from Kigali to Bwindi is around 4 hours (170+ Km). This option costs extra USD 100 for the vehicle.
  3. On Day 1, if you take a flight to Bwindi or start from Kigali, then you can add a Batwa cultural visit on this day at extra USD 40 per person.
  4. To avoid the long drive on Day 4, we can arrange flight from Kasese airstrip to Entebbe at USD 230 per person.
  5. On Day 3, you can add a Boat Cruise at Kazinga channel in North of Queen Elizabeth at USD 30 per person.
  6. On Day 4, instead of morning game drive, you can add Chimpanzee tracking at Kalinzu Forest at USD 50 per person.

Tour Plan

Day 1: Kampala or Entebbe to Bwindi National Park
After an early breakfast at your hotel in Kampala or Entebbe (breakfast not included in this program) and short safari briefing by your driver-guide, you will be transferred to Bwindi National Park, which is approximately 8 hours' drive from Kampala. The journey is scenic as you'll pass through lush green countryside, local villages, and towns. You'll make a stopover at the Equator for a photo opportunity and to learn about the geographical significance of the area. You'll have lunch en-route at Mbarara and arrive at Bwindi National Park in the evening. You'll check into your lodge and have dinner before settling in for the night.

Day 2: Gorilla Tracking in Bwindi National Park and transfer to Ishasha sector
After an early breakfast and along with packed lunch and water you will head to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don'ts of gorilla tracking. The park rangers will assign you to a gorilla family, and you'll be accompanied by a guide and trackers to help you locate the gorillas. The trek can take several hours, but the experience of coming face to face with the gorillas is truly unforgettable. You'll spend an hour with the gorillas, observing and taking photos before trekking back to the park headquarters. Post lunch lunch, you will transfer to Ishasha sector where you will spend the night. Dinner will be served at the lodge.

Day 3: Morning game drive at Ishasha sector and afternoon game drive at North of Queen Elizabeth
After breakfast, you will embark on a morning game drive in the Ishasha sector, a remote southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park that is home to tree-climbing lions. You can also spot a variety of wildlife including elephants, buffalos, and antelopes.
After the game drive, you will transfer to the northern part of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a game drive where you can spot various wildlife such as elephants, lions, buffaloes, and antelopes. After the game drive, you will check-in at your accommodation for dinner and overnight stay at Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Note: You can also opt for a Boat cruise at the Kazinga channel of North of Queen Elizabeth at extra USD 30 per person.

Day 4: Morning game drive and transfer to Kampala
After breakfast, you will embark on a final game drive, during which you will have the opportunity to spot any wildlife that you may have missed on the previous drives. After the game drive, you will check out of your accommodation and begin the journey back to Kampala. Along the way, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant. You will arrive in Kampala in the evening, depending on traffic. This will mark the end of your exciting and adventurous trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Note: On this day, you can skip morning game drive and do Chimpanzee tracking at Kalinzu Forest at extra USD 50 per person.
