This 8 days Uganda safari is tailored to give you a feel of three of Ugandas Wildlife Parks, with this you are assured of viewing a number of animals which include the the chance too see the Mountain Gorillas of Bwindi, Zebras and Antelope herds in Lake Mburo, the tree climbing Lions of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha Sector and a day in between to relax by the Lake Bunyonyi.

Itinerary for our 8 days Uganda Safari

 

Day 1 – Arrival and transfer to your hotel (Tour to the Ndere Cultural centre depending on day)

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport (EBB), you will be met by a Yala Safaris staff that will brief you and transfer you to your hotel for relaxation. In the evening you will be transferred to Ndere cultural centre In Kampala central, which is a home of performing arts and a representation of Ugandan cultures through music, dance and drama (note that this is dependent on day of the week since performances are not everyday).

Day 2 – Transfer to Lake Mburo with an evening game drive/optional night game drive

After a late breakfast, drive westwards to Lake Mburo National park via Masaka-Mbarara high way with lunch en route. On arrival in the park, take an evening bush game drive where you should expect to see Zebras, Impala herds, Warthogs, water bucks, Topis among others. Check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight at your lodge

Day 3 – Lake Mburo National park-Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable forest

8 days Uganda safariAfter having breakfast, go for a morning game drive in Lake Mburo national park. This park is famous for Zebras, Impalas, Jackson’s hartebeests, Cape Buffalos and many tropical bird species. You will have lunch and in the afternoon embark on an exciting road trip to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.

Overnight: Gorilla Mist Camp 

 

Day 4 – Gorilla tracking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

After having breakfast, drive to the park quarters for briefing before you head out to the most thrilling wildlife encounter in Africa & the highlight of this 8 days Uganda safari. The location of Mountain Gorillas is unpredictable hence you will have packed lunch. In the evening, you will proceed to Lake Bunyonyi for relaxation or do an optional hike to the many Islands surrounding Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 5 – Lake Bunyonyi and transfer through Ishasha sector [Tree climbing Lions’ zone]

After having breakfast, have a canoe ride led by an experienced guide or take a hike to one of the many scattered islands around Lake Bunyonyi. Later check out drive to the Ishasha sector in Queen Elizabeth national park, which is famous for tree climbing Lions that are seen resting on Fig tree branches on hot afternoon. The zone is also a habitat for Cape Buffalo herds, African Elephants, Topis and many more. You will have lunch en route or at the lodge near the park. You will check in for relaxation, or take an optional nature walk around the lodge.

Day 6 – Game drive and afternoon boat cruise at Kazinga channel

8 days Uganda safariAfter breakfast, you will go for a game drive most likely to Kasenyi plain which is a famous ground for Lions, African Elephants, and Spotted Hyena and many antelope species including Topis. Return to the lodge for lunch and in the afternoon, have a boat cruise on the famous Kazinga channel. This water body is known for being a catchment for Nile Crocodiles, Hippos, African Elephants, Cape Buffalos and many water birds including Great White Pelicans and Great Cormorant.

Day 7 – Chimpanzee tracking transfer back to Kampala via Mbarara-Masaka High way for the equator experience

Have an early morning breakfast and head to Kalinzu Forest for Chimpanzee tracking to meet man’s closet cousins in the wild and later embark on an exciting road trip back to Kampala with en route lunch in Mbarara. A stopover will be made at the Equator line for experiment and Photography, arriving in the evening for relaxation.

Day 8 – Transfer to Entebbe international airport

After having breakfast at your pace, check out of the hotel and transfer to Entebbe international airport to readily catch your flight back home as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa after this 8 days Uganda safari.
