This Kidepo & Murchison Falls safari will enable you to tour Uganda’s most popular and spectacular parks with diversity of wildlife. In both of these 2 parks, you will have a feel of the African big five (a stop at Ziwa Rhino sanctuary at the end gives you chance to tick off all 5) and spiced with birds around you. Itinerary for our Kidepo & Murchsion Falls Safari
Day 1 – Arrival at Entebbe, (Optional Kampala City Tour)
On arrival at Entebbe for your Kidepo & Murchison Falls safari you will be met by your guides and professional Yala Safari Driver who will transfer you to Kampala. Depending on arrival time it could be possible to make a city tour in the afternoon.
Overnight: Marie’s Royale Hotel
Day 2 – Kampala to Kitgum
Early morning, the Yala Safaris guide will pick you from Marie’s Royale hotel and brief you before heading out to Kitgum which is in the northern part of Uganda. You will have a quick lunch stop, and then continue to Kitgum arriving late afternoon. You may take an optional walk around Kitgum town and meet the locals, market vendors and return to the hotel for relaxation.

Day 3 – Kitgum to Kidepo Valley National Park-Evening game drive
After an early breakfast you will head off to Kidepo Valley National Park passing through villages and farm fields. Upon arrival in the park, you will check in and have lunch thereafter an evening game drive. Kidepo ranks among Africa’s finest wildernesses. From Apoka, in the heart of the national park, a savanna landscape extends in all directions, towards horizons outlined by distant mountain ranges.

Day 4 – Visit the Karamojong homesteads and head to Gulu
After a late breakfast, you will drive to a Karamojong village to learn more about their culture, music and dance. After lunch, you will proceed to Gulu town. Karamoja has a cattle culture and the Karamojong are notorious as cattle raiders. Unlike most other Ugandans, many Karamojong shun western-style clothes and instead wear “traditional” dress of a blanket -like shawl, often in red and black. The women wear elaborate beadwork.

Day 5 – To Murchison Falls National Park- Evening Game drive
You will be met by your guide at your Hotel and drive southwards to Murchison Falls National park reaching in afternoon at your hotel for lunch. After lunch, we depart for a game drive across the savannah in the northern part of the park. You will see abundant wildlife as the sun rises as Murchison Falls National Park is a home of game including Elephants, Lions, Leopards, Buffaloes, Hartebeests, Giraffes and a heaven of antelopes. Head back to the lodge and for relaxation.

Day 6 – Game drive and boat trip to bottom and hike to the top of the Falls
After an early breakfast you shall for a 3-4 hr morning game drive. Expect to see animals including Giraffes, Lions, Jackson hartebeest, Uganda Kob, Elephants and a lot of birds in the savannah. You will then go back for lunch and thereafter go for a boat cruise to the bottom of the Murchison Falls and then hike to the top of the falls where you shall be met by your guide to bring you back to your accommodation for relaxation.

Day 7 – Transfer to Kampala/Entebbe via Ziwa Rhino sanctuary
After an early breakfast you shall head out of and embark on an exciting road trip back to Kampala/Entebbe with a calculation of stopovers for photography and lunch en route. Along the way to Kampala take a light break at the Ziwa Rhino sanctuary to trek rhinos being reintroduced to Uganda. Upon reaching the city, drive to Entebbe international airport in the evening to catch your flight back home as you say farewell to the pearl of Africa after your Kidepo & Murchison Falls safari.
